Description
The Zsolnay pottery was established in 1853
by
Miklós Zsolnay
in 1853 in Pec`s Hungary
to produce stoneware and other ceramics. It was his son Vilmos who led the factory to worldwide recognition by demonstrating its innovative products at world fairs and exhibitions. In 1893, Zsolnay introduced pieces made with the eosin process, which created the fabulous
iridescence
as seen in the piece you are viewing.
This wonderful piece features a handle with intertwined lizards, and a beautiful hand-painted green iridescent eosin glaze.
The piece measures about 4 3/4" H X 10 1/2" L X 8 3/4" W

International import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. International buyers must check with their country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. Custom fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick up the item. We try to ship very quickly after receiving payment, but delivery outside US varies greatly from country to country and there is no way to predict when your package will arrive. Most often the process goes very smoothly, but items can get delayed in customs. Please note that I will only use international shipping services that include complete tracking to the shipping address so the item can be tracked at all times.
