Condition: An estate item, from the home of a family that immigrated from Japan in the 1960’s. I presume this piece to be brought from Japan at that time, but cannot guarantee it. The only marking I see is some markings under the bird’s tail as shown. Appears to be made of bronze, brass and possibly other metals. Bird mounts on the fence with 2 pins on his feet. There is a similar hole in one of the lily pads for something to go there, but I don't have that piece, whatever it is supposed to be. About 10” long and about 7 ¼” tall with the bird mounted as shown. For reference, when researching this piece I did find JUST the bird alone being offered on Ebay presently for around one hundred dollars.
