Description
Offered today is a lovely pair of genuine vintage early 1900s hand-carved conch shell cameo stud earrings.   The cameos are set in sterling silver, with solid 10k screw-posts and backers attached and hallmarked.
These earrings feature mirror-images of a young lady with Romanesque features (somewhat pointed nose and chin).  They are bezel set with a cable rope twist border, in the sterling frame with a bar on the underside, to which the post is attached.
These cameo earrings measure 3/4" by about 5/8".  They test positive for sterling silver, and the backers and posts, for 10k gold (and the backers are marked 10k).  They weigh 5.1 grams and are in very fine vintage condition with no damage.
