SET 4 WHIMSICAL SIGNED SWISS HANS SCHNEIDER STEFFISBURG POTTERY FOLK ART 12 OZ. MUGS
From our small Swiss pottery collection, this is a set of four whimsical 12 ounce mugs by  Hans Schneider Steffisburg (1926-2006) in a folk art or primitive style, each depicting a person in a different activity.  The mugs are 4" tall and 3-1/4" in diameter.  They include a man amid plants (farmer?), a musician playing a large stringed cello-type instrument, a woman pulling a cart with a container on board, and a bird hunter, rifle by his side and his birds slung over each shoulder. While there are a few glaze skips to these mugs that occur in the making, they have no damage and are signed by Schneider underfoot as shown.
