Old Antique c1880 Brown Westhead Moore TeaCup Saucer Set Pink Turquoise & Gold

This is a beautiful antique hand painted porcelain teacup and saucer set. We traced the registration of the design back to 1864 but we do not have the exact manufacturer as the name was not added to the back stamp.

The trademark for this pattern was registered in 1875. This mark is shown as a backstamp with the period registration information only but is lacking the company name on both pieces.
The bold pink is vibrant &
as beautiful as can be. (We apologize for the glare in the gold of the photos).
There are unique turquoise accents in addition to the gold trim that make quite a statement.
Condition - please see all the photos. The cup has many dings along the bottom of the footed area.  The saucer has a couple of cracks that were repaired with staples back in the day - another indication of age as porcelain glue was not marketed until the 20th century. Even though this set has endured some hardships, it certainly is still quite lovely and wears the age well. Nothing about this set steals the joy it can bring to the right collector of fine antique porcelain.
Dimensions: Cup 2.5" tall x 4" wide to handle. Saucer is 5.5" diameter.
