Presented is a lovely 18 karat yellow and white gold brooch or pin in the shape of a rose, with enamel shading from light to dark blue and diamond studded leaves. The enamel is gorgeously detailed, giving the flower a fresh look. The diamonds are all modern brilliant cut, H color or better, and SI1-VS quality, VS on average, and well set in white gold. The yellow gold stem has slight stylized 'thorns'. The pin is of a large but not overwhelming size, very attractive.
This piece is stamped 750 for 18 karat gold purity, and has an Italian maker's mark 2041 AL indicating Leo Pizzo of Alessandria, the piece also bears his name.
This piece is in fabulous condition. The enamel is perfect, mint condition, no chips or flaking. The gold finish is in great shape. There are no bends, no breaks, and no repairs. The clasp mechanism is in great shape and closes securely.
The brooch is about 3 3/4 inches long.
The brooch weighs 15.1 grams.
