For your consideration, here is a dress by an EBay artist, for Madame Alexander Cissy doll or like sized dolls.  This dress is a beautiful floral fabric, and I believe it is cotton.  The inside of the top of the dress is lined very nicely.  It has the wide hem, as do the original Cissy dresses.  The doll in the pictures, and her shoes are not for sale.  She is only modeling.  The items included are:
